Cowboy Baked Beans

 
 
Prep : 25 minutes     Bake : 50 minutes     Yield : 12 servings  (3/4 cup each)
 
1              pound ground beef
1              pound bacon , cooked and crumbled
2              cups barbeque  sauce
1              can (16 ounces) butter beans , rinsed and drained
1              can (15-3/4 ounces) pork and beans
1              can (15-1/2 ounces) navy beans , rinsed and drained
1              can (15 ounces) black beans , rinsed and drained
2              medium onions , chopped
1/4           cup packed  brown sugar
1/4           cup molasses
2              tablespoons balsamic  vingear
2              teaspoons ground mustard
2              tablespoons  Worcestshire sauce
1              teaspoon salt
1              teaspoon garlic powder
1              teaspoon pepper
 
 
1 .      In a Dutch oven , cook beef over  medium heat  until no longer pink  ; drain . Stir in remaining  ingredients  . Transfer  to a greased  13-inch x 9-inch  baking dish  . Bake uncovered  at 350* for 50 to 60 minutes  or until  heated through .
 
 
Baked beans are a perennial favorite at barbeques  and potlucks . This meaty recipe  uses a variety of beans  and has a great savory flavor .
