Creamy Ham 'n' Broccoli
Prep: 10 minutes Cook : 2 hours +standing 6 to 8 servings
3 cups cubed fully cooked ham
1 package (10-3/4 ounces) frozen chopped broccoli , thawed
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup , undiluted
1 jar (8 ounces) process cheese sauce
1 can (8 ounces) slice water chestnuts , drained
1-3/4 cups uncooked instant rice
1 cup milk
1 celery rib , chopped
1 medium onion , chopped
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika
In a 3-quart slow cooker , combine the first 10 ingredients . Cover and cook on high for 2 to 3 hours or until rice is tender . Let stand for 10 minutes before serving . Sprinkle with paprika .
This senational dish is so wonderful to come home to especially on a cool fall or winter day . It's a delicious way to use up leftover ham , too.
